Description

9/20/22 - This is an excellent example of a BYF 44 Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 135" military acceptance proofs throughout. It comes as a rig with a fairly worn leather shoulder holster. The holster shows age, but it is not marked. Could be a WW2-era holster for a 1911, but this gun fits very well. The leather is fairly dry and there is light surface cracking throughout. There is a name "Dwyer" scratched into the front. The gun itself has retained about 98% of its original finish. While there is almost no actual finish loss, there are areas of freckling here and there and noticeable spotty oxidation on the front strap. Comes with very nice black Mauser grips and a period-correct "Waffen 135" marked magazine. The bore is near-mint. De-cocker is functional.
