Description
10/12/22 - This is a Springfield M1 Garand sold to the public as a part of the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). It comes with an original matching-number CMP certificate and CMP and matching-numbered CMP hang tag. The receiver dates to 1943. The barrel is an un-marked replacement. This gun is considered "Rack Grade". There is not a lot of actual finish loss, but there is pin-pricking on the whole receiver, some minor pitting on the operating rod, and brown patina on the floor plate / trigger group. The stock is pretty beat-up overall. The front hand guard was replaced. There is a painted rack number on the right side of the butt stock. The bore is shiny with good rifling and a few small areas of minor oxidation.Specifications
