SOLD - Rare Mauser G.41(M) Rifle (1160 - 22133)

Description

9/28/22 - This is a rare and original Nazi Mauser G.41(M) rifle from 1942, one of only 10,000-15,000 produced. The rifle is almost completely matching with just the muzzle cap being mismatched. The original finish on the metal is excellent overall, with some wear around the "bang" system but excellent finish on the receiver and barrel. Fully matching numbers otherwise, including the stock. The buttplate is interesting in that it is the same design as the G33/40 that was to be issued to mountain troops, but we don't have an explanation as to why it features this buttplate. Could just be a replacement, we couldn't find other examples with one. The stock does have a repaired crack near the wrist, and was sanded and lacquered (likely during the repairs).
