Description

11/30/22 - This is a nice example of a Webley Mark IV revolver that was issued to the British military during WW1. It is all matching and has the proper British military "broad arrow" proofs throughout. Following the war, it was officially removed from British military service, as evidenced by the "opposing arrow" proofs. The gun is also marked "Q^P 91". This is a police unit marking, indicating that it was then issued to the Queensland Police Department. The cylinder appears to have been shaved to accommodate .45 ACP. The gun has retained roughly 85% of its original bluing. There is muzzle wear and minor wear around the high edges in general and on the cylinder. Minor thinning on the underside of the barrel. Some spotty wear on the underside of the trigger guard. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there are areas of noticeable discoloration on both sides of the frame. Brown patina on the grip straps. Comes with nice brown bakelite grips - tiny chips on both sides. Minty bore.
