Description
12/7/22 - This is a nice example of a Berlin Lubecker K98 rifle made in 1939 with a scarce "237" factory code. It is all matching (including the stock and handguard) and has the proper waffen military acceptance proofs throughout. However, we believe some of the small parts of the bolt have been re-numbered to match. Comes with a cleaning rod and front sight hood / muzzle cap. The gun has lost virtually all of its original bluing with obvious finish loss throughout. Areas of light spotty oxidation throughout and a few small spots of surface rust on the butt plate. The wood stock has the proper waffen proofs on the right side of the butt stock. The stock shows a fair amount of wear. There are some noticeable gouges in the butt stock and what looks like a tiny repaired chip to the very right of the action. The bore is has decent rifling, but there is pitting and heavy spotty oxidation throughout.Specifications
