Description

7/8/24 - This is a set of two consecutively-numbered Mauser P.38's put together by the French using leftover Nazi parts after WW2, in 1946. They also happened to be in the scarce "L" serial number block. They were both imported by Interarms. They come with their original matching Interarms boxes, owners manuals, one scarce end-of-war "U" marked magazine (very faint marking), and one waffen-proofed jvd magazine. Both are all matching, have no French star proofs, but do have French proofs on their barrels. Both have import marks on the underside of their slides. 465L is in minty condition with almost no signs of wear except for some minor dulling on the front strap. 466L has retained roughly 85% of its finish with areas of wear around the muzzle, along the barrel, and along both sides of the slide, concentrated mostly around the high edges. Both come with black plastic Mauser grips that have been slightly shaved along the top edges. There are dings and scratches on both, especially on 466L. The bore on 465L is near-mint. 466L has a very nice bore, just shows slightly more use. Both de-cockers are functional.
