Description
12/1/22 - This is an excellent example of a "42 Code" Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1940. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 655" military acceptance proofs. It comes as a rig with one original matching-numbered magazine, a "Droop Wing Eagle 63" marked Luger tool, and a 1938-dated Luger holster. The holster is in okay shape with the number "P0990" scratched into the back and on the inside of the holster. There are light surface scuffs and scratches throughout. The gun itself is excellent, retaining about 96-97% of its original bluing. There are areas of very minor wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, and on the side rails. Very light spotty wear along the left side of the barrel. Unfortunately, there is a letter "P" scratched into the back strap. Comes with excellent period-correct wood grips. Both grips are "Eagle 655" proofed. The left panel is un-numbered. The right panel is numbered but mismatched. The bore is very shiny with strong rifling with just a couple f small areas of light freckling, otherwise it would be mint.Specifications
