Description
12/19/22 - This is a very nice example of a Webley Mark VI revolver that was issued to the British military in 1917. It is all matching and has the proper "broad arrow" British military acceptance proofs throughout. The cylinder appears to have been shaved to accommodate .45 ACP. It also appears to have a second serial number applied to the cylinder - one of the numbers is matching. Our best guess is that this gun ended up at an arsenal, because some of the markings are very faint, and it appears to have been refinished. There is minor wear around the muzzle and on the high edges in general. There are some tiny dings and handling marks here and there, most noticeable on the underside of the trigger guard. Fitted with nice period-correct bakelite grips - tiny scratches and handling marks throughout. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling.Specifications
