Description

3/28/23 - This is a very nice example of a BYF 44 Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. All matching with "Waffen 135" military acceptance proofs. This one is in the "q" serial block but does not have mixed proofs. It has retained about 93% of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is around the front edges of the slide, but there is also some minor muzzle wear, and some very light brown patina on the front strap. Fitted with excellent red particle bakelite grips. Comes with a period-correct "Waffen 135" proofed Mauser magazine. The bore is like-new. De-cocker is functional.
