Description

1/26/23 - This is a minty example of a rare DWM Model 1906 Navy Luger issued to the Imperial German Navy during WW1. This is a rare first-issue example, characterized by having no chamber date and have the original safety in the upper position. On this particular gun, the safety was altered to the 2nd-issue configuration and is now in the lower position. In any case, the gun is matching and has the proper navy "Crown M" markings throughout. "WK 891" Navy property marking on the back strap. It has retained about 98% of its bluing with just hints of wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, and on the side rails. Very light freckling on the grip straps. Fitted with excellent wood grips - the left panel has a 3 on it, the right has a "5". Comes with one un-numbered Navy-style magazine. The bore has great riling with very minor pin-pricking throughout.
