Description
8/25/23 - This is a military-issued Egyptian Helwan, chambered in 9mm. This is not one of the imports made for commercial sales, this is full military with Arabic writing and serial numbers. The slide has Arabic writing on the right side, and the left side says "Helwan Cal. 9mm ARE". It does not say "Made in Egypt" like the commercial imports. Import mark on the left side of the frame. These were likely the first batch of Helwans produced by Egypt on Beretta's machinery. Prior to these, Egypt had their own contract with Beretta for the M1951's until the late 50's when they started producing these. This particular example has retained roughly 85% of its finish. There are areas of spotty wear and splotchy discoloration throughout. Some spots were likely touched up with cold-blue. Fitted with nice black plastic grips and comes with one proper magazine. Very nice bore with great rifling and just minor frosting throughout.Specifications
