Description
1/26/23 - This is a near-mint example of a BYF 44 Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 135" military acceptance proofs. What makes this one interesting is that it only has one "Waffen 135" proof on the right side of the slide and it appears there never was a second. We've never seen this before, and it's difficult to explain, making this gun very interesting. It has a dual-tone finish - phosphate slide and frame with a blued barrel. It comes as a rig with a very nice 1944-dated pebble grain holster and a period-correct P.38v magazine. The gun has retained virtually all of its original finish with just some light spotty discoloration on the phosphate parts, typical for these finishes. Fitted with excellent black plastic grips, slightly shaved on the left side. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling and some very light freckling here and there. De-cocker is functional.Specifications
