Description

3/8/23 - This is a very nice example of a JP Sauer K98 rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1940. This one also has a rare "147" Sauer factory code. It is completely matching, including the stock, and has the proper Waffen proofs throughout. The entire gun has been completely restored and refinished. There in minor wear around the muzzle and a couple of streaks of wear along the barrel. Light scratchy wear on the barrel bands. Spotty oxidation and pitting on the butt plate. The stock is very nice overall with no major damage, just normal minor handling marks throughout. The bore has good rifling, but there is light oxidation and pin-pricking in the grooves.
