Description
3/8/23 - This a nice example of a Steyr Model 1895 Mannlicher rifle, the primary straight-pull service rifle of the Austro-Hungarian military during WW1. This one is all matching, including the stock. There are some proofs on the right side of the receiver that appear to have been peened. The gun has lost most of its original finish with obvious bluing loss and noticeable spotty oxidation throughout. Areas of pin-pricking as well on most of the metal parts. The wood stock is in nice condition overall with no major damage, but there is minor bruising and scratching throughout. Very nice bore with strong rifling.Specifications
