Description
2/27/23 - This is a very nice example of a rare Sauer Behorden pistol. This is a Sauer Model 1913 issued to the Nazi-era Prussian State Police. This is evidenced by the "Starburst K" marking on the web of the trigger guard. This was the last iteration of this pistol before they switched over to the 38h. They were marketed to and almost exclusively sold to Nazi-era police organizations. They had added safety features, such as the additional trigger safety, making them appealing for police. Very few of these guns were produced. This one is all matching and also has a "S.Mg. 52" police unit marking on the front strap. It comes as a complete matching rig with two original matching-numbered police magazines and a matching-numbered black leather police holster. The gun has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. There is somewhat spotty wear around the muzzle, on the round edges of the slide, and on the very front edges of the frame. There is noticeable thinning and tiny freckling on both grip straps, mostly on the back strap. Comes with excellent period-correct black bakelite grips. The bore is mint.Specifications
