3/6/23 - This is a very nice example of a "dou 44" Waffenwerke Brunn K98 bolt action rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1944. The gun is completely matching, including the stock and handguard (numbered on the inside). No visible external proofs on the stock. The metal parts have retained roughly 60% of their original bluing with general thinning throughout. Some light spotty oxidation along the whole barrel and a few tiny dings on the receiver. Light spotty and somewhat scratchy wear on the floor plate. Some heavy brown patina on the butt plate. No major damage to the wood stock, just some minor scuffs and dings throughout. The bore has good rifling with a couple of small spots of light oxidation and pin-pricking.
