Description
3/20/23 - This is a very rare DWM Model 1928 Dutch Navy Luger. The 1928 Dutch Navy DWM model was made specifically for military sales to the Dutch Navy. Even though the Dutch Army and the Dutch Naval Air Service had officially adopted the Luger, it was not until 1928 that the rank and file Dutch Navy did so. They are characterized by having no grip safety, DWM on the toggle, a safety marked "Rust", and having only "Crown N" proofs. It is also in the correct serial range for this variation, 1-1484. It is all matching except for the side plate. It has retained about 97% of its original finish with minor wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, and on the side rails. Very minor dulling on the grip straps. Minty un-numbered wood grips. Comes with a blank wood bottom magazine. The bore has good rifling with very minor frosting throughout.Specifications
