Description

4/10/23 - This is a nice example of a rare Japanese-contract Czech-made Vz 24 rifle, manufactured in 1937. It has the proper "P" prefix serial number and comes with a rare Japanese rubberized canvas sling and bayonet with scabbard. There is almost no actual finish loss on the metal parts, but there is heavy oxidation and areas of surface rust throughout, most noticeable on the barrel and on the butt plate. The wood furniture is excellent for the most part, but there is noticeable bruising in front of the rear barrel band. The rear barrel band is missing a screw and moves freely. The bore is like-new. This particular gun comes from the estate of WW2 USMC Quartermaster, Richard Foster.
