Description

5/17/23 - This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1918. It is "United States Property" marked and has the proper military inspection proof. Correct "H P" Colt barrel. The gun itself has retained about 93% of its original finish. There is minor thinning on the grip straps, light spotty wear around the muzzle, minor high edge wear in general, and some minor thinning along the left side of the slide. There are areas of freckling and light spotty oxidation here and there, most noticeable on the left side of the slide. Fitted with very nice period-correct wood grips and comes with one magazine. The bore has good rifling with very minor frosting throughout.
