Description
6/15/23 - This is a very nice example of a Springfield M1 Garand issued to the US military during WW2. The serial number on the receiver dates it to June of 1944, the same month as D-Day. The barrel is Springfield marked and dated July of 1944. The stock is a replacement. Overall, the metal parts have retained about 80% of their finish. The majority of the wear is along the gas tube and around the muzzle. There is general high edge wear and some light spotty wear on the floor plate. No major damage to the wood furniture, but there are minor dings, dents, and bruises throughout. The bore has great rifling, but there is tiny pin-pricking throughout.Specifications
