Description

6/21/23 - This is a nice example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in May of 1943. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" military acceptance proofs. There is an "asterisk" marking on the left side of the frame, indicating the part failed initial inspection and was repaired at the factory. Unfortunately, someone light scratched some initials onto the left side of the slide and some writing onto the right side. The gun has retained about 96% of its original finish. There is minor muzzle wear, wear around the high edges of the slide, and brown patina on the front strap. Fitted with reproduction plastic grips. Comes with an un-marked late-war magazine. The bore is shiny for the most part with good rifling, but there are some spots of pin-pricking. De-cocker is functional.
