Description

6/13/23 - This is a very nice example of an Arisaka Type 38 Carbine issued to the Japanese military during WW2. This one is all matching and has a completely intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. It also comes with its original matching-numbered dust cover and an original canvas sling. There is very little actual finish loss on the metal parts. However, there is brown patina visible under the finish on most of the parts, and there are areas of pitting around the muzzle, along the barrel, on the barrel bands, and on the butt plate. The rifling in the bore is fairly worn with minor pin-pricking throughout.
