SOLD - Minty 1942 "Black Widow" Mauser Luger Rig - BYF 42 (9271l - 26548)

Description

7/20/23 - This is a minty example of a BYF 42 "Black Widow" Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1942. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 135" military acceptance proofs. There are also a few faint, additional proofs on the toggle assembly and right side of receiver but we can't make them out. It is fitted with a set of original black bakelite "Black Widow" grips - excellent condition. It comes as a complete rig with an excellent 1942-dated holster, an "Eagle 655" Luger tool, and two original Black Widow magazines. There is a tiny chip in one of the magazine bottoms. The holster has been embellished with a deaths head pin, and there is a faint number stamped into the back of the holster that matches the gun. The gun itself has retained about 98% of its finish with just hints of wear around the muzzle and on the high edges. There are some tiny handling marks here and there. The bore is shiny for the most part with strong rifling, but there is light freckling in the grooves.
