6/13/23 - This is a nice example of an Enfield No 5 Mk 1 Jungle Carbine issued to the British military in 1946. The stock matches the receiver, but the bolt and magazine are mismatched. Painted "FTR" markings on the left side of the stock. "England" export markings on the receiver. The gun has retained roughly half of its black painted enamel finish. The majority of the finish loss is along the barrel, but there is somewhat scratchy wear throughout. Very nice wood furniture with only minor dings and bruises here and there and a couple of tiny chips in the wood on the upper handguard. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
