Description

6/1/23 - This is a nice example of a DWM Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1918. It is all matching, Imperial proofed, and has the proper proofs throughout. This one is interesting, because it only has one proof on the right side of the slide. Presumably it never made it to military-issue before WW1 ended. In any case, the gun has retained roughly 85% of its original finish. The majority of the wear is along the barrel and around the muzzle. Minor wear on the side plate and high edges. A few tiny dots of wear on the left side of the frame and on the grip straps. Some light spotty oxidation on the grip straps as well. Fitted with excellent matching-numbered wood grips. Comes with a period-correct but mismatched magazine. The rifling in the bore is fairly worn with minor pitting throughout.
