Description

5/31/23 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1919. It is "United States Property" marked, has the proper "Eagle S5" military acceptance proof, and has a correct "connected HP" barrel. It comes as a rig with a fairly worn holster and a period-correct two-tone magazine. The gun itself has retained roughly 30% of its original finish with obvious wear and light brown patina throughout. Fitted with period-correct wood grips - some bruising on both sides. The rifling in the bore is noticeably worn with pin-pricking throughout and an area of heavy pitting.
