Description

8/30/23 - This is a 1948 production No 4 Mk 1 British rifle made by the Royal Ordnance Factory at Fazakerley, Liverpool in January 1948. The rifle has a black painted finish that we rate around 95% overall condition. (The magazine is blued however.) There's high edge wear and light finish loss near the muzzle, front sight, bolt and bolt handle, barrel bands, and trigger guard. Import stamped near the muzzle, on the barrel. The wood stock is in great condition with some minor scuffs and scratches from the sling and general handling wear. The canvas sling included is unmarked and in excellent condition with brass fixtures. Smooth action with a clean bore that's bright and shiny with strong rifling. There is some mild residue within the grooves from previous use, but we rate 9/10 overall.
