SOLD - 1917 DWM Artillery Luger Rig (4199i - 26339)

Description

8/2/23 - This is a nice example of a DWM Artillery Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1917. It is all matching with the proper Imperial military acceptance proofs. It comes as a rig with a 1917-dated holster, a blank tool, and a mismatched but period-correct magazine. The holster is fairly worn and is missing its belt loops, the top portion of the closure strap, and the lift strap. Some stitching missing from the loop on the top flap. The gun itself has retained roughly 85% of its original finish. There is wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, and on the side rails. Areas of spotty wear along the left side of the barrel and on the grip straps. Areas of light spotty oxidation throughout and some very minor pin-pricking here and there. Fitted with mismatched wood grips - some bruising on the right side and a small chip on the top edge of the left panel. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with pitting throughout.
