Description

8/4/23 - This is a nice example of a Mauser Gewehr 89 issued to the Imperial German military in 1917. It is mostly matching, but the stock, butt plate, bolt, and bayonet lug are mismatched. No import marks. The metal parts are covered in noticeable brown patina and pitting. There is no major damage to the wood furniture, but there are dings and scratches throughout. A series of more noticeable scratches on the left side of the butt stock. Comes with a period-correct cleaning rod and a reproduction leather sling. Very nice bore with good rifling.
