Description
8/21/23 - This is a nice example of a Webley Mark IV revolver that was issued to the British military during WW1. It is all matching and has the proper British military "broad arrow" proofs throughout. For whatever reason, the serial numbers on the frame and barrel have strike marks. Following the war, it was officially removed from British military service, as evidenced by the "opposing arrow" proofs. The gun is also marked "B 29" and "RIC 35", indicating it ended up with the Royal Irish Constabulary. No evidence of a shaved cylinder. The gun has retained about 90% of its finish with minor high edge wear in general. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there is light brown patina throughout and some areas of spotty oxidation here and there. Fitted with nice bakelite grips. The bore has great rifling with tiny pits here and there. It comes with a post-war leather belt, holster, and lanyard.Specifications
