Description
9/6/23 - This is a fairly rare Astra Model 900 that was manufactured sometime in the early to mid 1930's. The Astra 900 was a pistol developed to take advantage of a large Chinese demand for semiauto pistols with shoulder stocks, following the massive sales of the Mauser C96 in that country. There was a loophole in the international treaty accords that stocked pistols were not considered military arms, so civil war in China had a huge market for arms that this variant was able to meet. There were only ~21,000 of these pistols produced. Large ring hammer and 1000 meter tangent sight. This one is matching and comes as a rig with a rare period-correct leather holster with purple-colored canvas lining. The gun itself has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its finish. The wear is concentrated mostly around the high edges. There are areas of discoloration here and there. Some areas have been touched up with cold blue. Fitted with original matching-numbered wood grips. The condition of the bore is poor - the rifling is almost completely worn with pitting throughout.Specifications
