Description

9/29/23 - This is a nice British Long Branch No 4 Mk 1* rifle from 1944. All matching with British proofs throughout. Small import mark on the receiver. Block "S" marking on the front barrel band for Savage. The finish rates roughly 80-85%, and the majority of the wear is around the muzzle and front barrel band, where there is also brown patina. High edge wear in general. The wood furniture is very nice, but the butt stock appears to have been sanded. The bore has good rifling with minor pin-pricking throughout. Comes with a canvas sling.
