Description
11/6/23 - This is a nice example of a Colt 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1942. However, according to the included copies of DOD paperwork, this gun was shipped to the US Naval Station in Guantanamo Bay in 1975, and then transferred to a Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indiana in 1996. It was eventually sold to the American public through the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). It comes with a CMP Pelican-style case, an owners manual, gun lock, and two post-war magazines. Replaced barrel. The slide is not numbered. The gun itself has retained roughly 90% of its parkerized finish. There is minor high edge wear in general and some spotty wear on the front strap. Fitted with reddish plastic grips that have a "64" rack number. Mint bore.Specifications
