11/6/23 - This is a very nice example of an Eddystone Model 1917 rifle issued to the US military in 1918. All of the parts appear to be Eddystone marked. The barrel is dated January of 1918. Import mark on the barrel. Proper flaming bomb and Eagle Head military proofs throughout. There is a patch of red paint on the front handguard. The finish on the metal parts rates roughly 85%. There is general high edge wear, but most of the wear is on the bolt handle, trigger guard, and floor plate. The wood shows the typical signs of wear - minor bruising and scratching throughout. Minty bore. Comes with a reproduction tan leather sling.
