Description
11/29/23 - This is a Mauser Luger (S/42 Code) from 1937. It is considered a first variation as it is an early serial number and has the straw colored small parts. These were the last to have this configuration from the Mauser factory. The finish appears to be all original and very nice (about 94 - 96%) but the gun does have 2 issues to note. First, there is a bumped or ground edge on the frame, just under the serial number. Secondly the numbers on the gun are all matching except for the magazine and the front toggle link (interior number on the link is # 38.). The right grip is numbered 46 and the left panel is blank. Also there is the very common chip in the grip just under the safety lever. They both fit properly and are both likely original to the gun as in 1936 the grip numbering was at times sporadic. The bore is excellent; shiny and rates about 8 out of 10. Comes in 9mm Luger.Specifications
