Description

12/7/23 - This is a National Postal Meter M1 Carbine originally issued to the US military in 1943. It was later reworked at the Red River Arsenal in Texas. This gun comes with its original Red River shipping box and several original and photocopied forms from the arsenal (see photos). It was at the arsenal that the bayonet lug and adjustable rear sight were added. The finish on the metal parts rates about 95% with just minor general high edge wear. The stock is very nice with just minor dings and bruises. Comes with one magazine and a canvas sling. Mint bore. Underwood barrel dated 7-43. "IO" marked Inland stock.
