Description

2/29/24 - This is an IBM M1 Carbine from 1944. The barrel is marked IBM, dated 11-43, and has a flaming bomb proof. The stock is marked "BR-B" and has some other markings on the left side. The gun comes with one magazine, a canvas sling, and an oiler. The finish on the metal parts rates roughly 40%, which appears to be an old black enamel finish. There is chipping in the finish on the receiver and obvious finish loss along the barrel. The stock shows noticeable signs of wear - there are a couple of chips in the wood around the grip and a repair near the butt plate. The bore has decent rifling, but there is pitting throughout.
