2/1/24 - This is a mint example of a Colt Gold Cup National Match 1911 from 1971, commemorative NRA Centennial Edition. This particular gun was presented to Major (Us Army) George J. Lehman Jr. by the officers of the 1st squadron of the 101st cavalry on November 10th, 1972 as gratitude for his service during the Vietnam war. The left side of the slide reads "1871 NRA Centennial 1971, The First 100 Years of Service, .45 Automatic Caliber". It has a gorgeous ultra high polish finish with no signs of wear or use. Fitted with beautiful checkered wood grips. Mint bore. It comes in the original personalized Colt wood presentation box with the Gold Colt Logo, that has an Gold NRA challenge coin embedded in acrylic. One proper magazine.
