Description

3/7/24 - This is a very nice example of a Red 9 Mauser C96 issued to the Imperial German military during WW1. It is all matching and has the proper proofs. Unit markings on the front strap and on the left side of the slide (this one has a line through it). We believe this one was reworked and issued to the Nazi police force, given its characteristics - the barrel has been shortened and the rear sight was milled. Fitted with matching-numbered Red 9 grips. The gun has retained about 90% of its finish. There is general high edge wear and some spots of wear along the barrel. The bore has decent rifling, but there is minor pitting throughout.
