Description
4/26/24 - This is an excellent example of a last-ditch Japanese Arisaka Type 99 rifle from 1945. The bolt assembly is one number off, 546. This is probably a factory error, but still mismatched. The Imperial mum stamp on the receiver is ground. It has the proper late-war features, such as peep-style rear sight, rough machining, and wood butt plate. The metal parts have retained nearly all of their original finish, but there is some light brown patina visible under the bluing. The wood furniture shows the typical signs of wear and use, no major damage. Minty bore. The front handguard is a little loose.Specifications
