Description

4/25/24 - This is a nice example of a Remington Rand 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. Proper High Standard barrel. There is an "RIA" marking on the right side of the frame, indicating it was reworked at the Rock Island Arsenal. The finish rates roughly 90% with thinning on the front strap and wear along the slide, concentrated mostly around the high edges. Fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips and comes with one proper "L" marked magazine. The bore has great rifling, but there is some light freckling throughout.
