Description
2/6/26 - This is a very nice example of a Mauser Model 1934 issued to the Kriegsmarine in about 1939. This one is categorized as a 2nd variation with a "Closed Wing Eagle M" Navy marking on the right side of the frame and an "O. 3285" navy unit marking on the front strap. All matching. It comes as a rig with one original matching-numbered magazine, one mismatched "N. 5288"-numbered navy magazine, and a 1940-dated and navy-marked holster. The holster is original, but we believe the "Eagle M" marking was applied later. The gun itself has retained about 93% of its original high polish bluing. There is muzzle wear, high edge wear, and some spotty wear on the front strap. Some small dings and scratches on the left side of the frame. Fitted with a very nice period-correct one-piece wood grip - one noticeable bruise at the base of the spine. The bore has good rifling, but there is noticeable freckling in the grooves.
