Description
10/26/23 - This is a bit of a mystery gun. It has no slide legend and no proof marks. Also, it does not have the red dot in the safety well. So, while the serial number dates to about 1942 it seems that it was never issued. It was either in the factory at the end of the war when the GI's took over, or one of the workers took it home as a "lunch box" special. The bore has good rifling with some residue within the grooves and honest use wear, but dark in color so the gun may have been refinished. If so it was done years ago as there is typical wear patterns over the finish, and natural aging patina under bright light. Comes in 7.65mm and mechanically sound. There is an Interarms import mark inside the ejection port, so it came into the US likely in the 1980's. The gun has correct wartime grips and a correct wartime magazine. Note the "G" on the righthand side of the frame back by the tang. Not sure of the meaning of this marking.Specifications
