Description
7/24/24 - This is a mint example of a scarce, Germany-accepted FN Browning Model 1900. Many officers' pistols were private purchases acquired on the commercial market, these had French or German safety markings. A 1918 directive required that substitute standard pistols were to be marked. Some were marked at the Danzig arsenal with a "Crown S" near the serial number. These pistols originated as private purchases but became state property. This one is all matching and has the correct "Crown S" marking on the right side of the frame. Likely issued to a German officer during WWI. It has retained virtually all of its finish with no obvious signs of wear. Comes as a rig with a pigskin leather holster and one magazine. Minty bore.Specifications
