Description
5/9/24 - This is a very interesting mystery Winchester M1 Garand. From the configuration of the parts, we would estimate it was manufactured in about 1942. The receiver has no markings or serial number. Most of the small parts are Winchester-marked and have assembly numbers. The stock has a WRA Winchester inspection stamp and cross-canon military cartouche. This gun was previously listed on the internet with an un-marked Winchester stock. The stock has since been upgraded to a more desirable Winchester military stock. We're not sure how the receiver could be unmarked - that is lost to history. Our best guess is that it was never issued but rather put together from parts - could have been a factory worker. The metal parts have retained nearly all of their finish. Very nice wood with only minor dings and bruises - there is a small hairline crack in the upper handguard. Very nice bore. Detailed parts list included in photos.Specifications
