5/8/24 - This is a minty example of a very rare, single-barrel Walther Sternsignalpistole SL Leuchtpistole Light Flare Pistol issued to the Kriegsmarine in 1941. Only about 3,500 made. These SL flare guns are known for being extremely well-made with a heavy and robust stainless steel and walnut construction. Very few of these have survived, as most of them ended up at the bottom of the ocean. The Nazi military did not make many, as they favored aluminum alloy guns that were quicker and cheaper to manufacture and saved them precious stainless steel. This one is in minty condition overall with minor scratches and handling marks here and there. Very nice wood. Excellent, shiny bore.
