Description
3/21/26 - This is a very nice example of a rare BYF 44 Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi police force in 1944. All matching with a police "Eagle F" proof on the slide. Only about 1,500 of these guns were made and this one is recorded by serial number in Krutzek's P.38 book. It has a dual-tone finish. Comes as a rig with a mint soft shell holster, one un-proofed magazine, and one rare "U" marked magazine. These finishes are often difficult to rate, but we would estimate about 90-93%. There is thinning on the front strap, general high edge wear, and some tiny dots of discoloration here and there (typical for phosphate). Fitted with black plastic grips. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
