Description

6/25/24 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1918. It is "United States Property" marked with an "Eagle Head S6" military proof. It has a post-war Colt .45 Auto barrel, fitted with replacement wood grips, and comes with a post-war commercial Colt magazine. We believe this particular gun has an old re-blued finish. There is not much actual finish loss, but there is spotty brown patina throughout and some small dots of oxidation here and there. Minty bore. This would make a great shooter.
