Description
9/6/24 - This is a very nice example of a Radom VIS 35 issued to the Nazi military during WW2. This one is of the earlier 3-lever variation. It is all matching and has the proper waffen proofs. It has retained about 93% of its original finish with some muzzle and high edge wear. There is a number electro-penciled onto the front strap. Nice bore with only minor frosting throughout. Comes with one waffen-proofed magazine. The pistol comes with extras from Vaughn E. Allen, a WW2 Veteran who received a Purple Heart and a Silver Star. None of the extras actually tie this man to this gun, but they came to us together so we didn't want to separate them. It includes his Purple Heart, Silver Star, Good Conduct Medal, along with other ribbons. There is a photo of Vaughn receiving his medals, along with a couple of local newspaper clippings. It includes the original paper copies of the declaration of his Silver Star and Purple Heart. There is also a 16-page memoir written by Vaughn that details his service in Italy and his wounds that resulted in a Purple Heart (see the photos to read the story).Specifications
