9/6/24 - This is a nice example of a First Generation Colt Single Action Army Revolver from 1881. Chambered in .45 Caliber with a 7.5 inch barrel. It is all matching and lacks military markings, indicating it was sold in the commercial market. This one is in nice condition for its age. However, most of the original finish is worn with light honest "attic patina" throughout. There are a few tiny spots on the frame where the original case-hardening is still visible. The top of the back strap and butt of the frame show some of the original high polish bluing. Excellent, shiny bore with great rifling. Fully functional. No FFL required.
